Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia will take on SoNy Sugar at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday 23 April from 4.15pm and not Afraha Stadium as had earlier been communicated.
Club organizing secretary David Kiilo said they have agreed to host their opponents at Nyayo after consultations with the league managers - KPL. The match will be preceded by that pitting City Stars and Sofapaka.
Victor Abondo
“Our match against SoNy has been moved from Nakuru's Afraha stadium to Nyayo Stadium. It will be played at 4pm after that between City Stars and Sofapaka," Kiilo told Soka.
K’Ogalo won both matches against the millers last season by a solitary goal. Victor Abondo netted the lone goal in the first leg played in Awendo while Ugandan born winger Innocent Wafula was the difference in the return leg, coincidentally the win that saw them seal the title with five matches to go.
KPL Top 8
Gor were 2 – 1 winners over SoNy in the KPL Top Eight final played in Kisumu. The game will be the first for new coach Jose Marcelo Ferreira against the Awendo
