The Kenya Women’s team, Harambee Starlets has been dominated by Mombasa-based Spedag FC as head coach David Ouma named his 20 finest to take on Algeria the first leg encounter of the second round 2016 Africa Women’s Nations Cup (AWCON) match against Algeria.
As confirmed by CAF the first leg will be played on Friday 8 April, 2016 in Algeria and the return game in Nairobi at on Tuesday 12 April, 2016. The team is expected to jet out for the game on Wednesday 6 April.
The second round being the last round of qualifiers, the aggregate winner from the Kenya – Algeria game, as well as six other qualified teams will join host Cameroon in the tournament proper to be held from 19 November – 3 December 2016.
